Tidal Locking developed out of source recordings made during a residency at EMS Elektronmusikstudion, working with a large Buchla modular synthesizer (which, I speculate, is not far from the experience of attempting to fly a homemade spaceship). It is also the companion album to Egress.

Tidal Locking refers the captured rotation of most moons to the larger planet they orbit, resulting in one hemisphere always facing towards the planet.
